On a more serious note, this seems more like an alien post-apocalyptic landscape. Reminds me a bit of some of the art from an old "interactive adventure" (if you choose to jump down the dark, spike filled pit, go to page 5, if you want to follow the tenticle covered path on the left, go to page 12) book I had as a kid. It's pretty cool, but I haven't a damn clue what anything is (I'm talking about your picture, though that applies to the book as well).

Looks good. Maybe you could make the water a bit more transparent, at the shore? I mean when the bright sky isn't reflecterd, you see the rocks under the water until the water gets too foggy. I know its a hard task, I never managed to do that myself:)
