I'm not sure if that much of the shoulder and collar would be in the shadow seeing as how ligh would be able to pass through the guy's head. OR are the shadows being cast by his hat?

The painting is amazing! Shocked

To me it looks as if the head is a little too big
(hat and cigarette a little too high)
But that's probably just me.

Update

Thanks for all the nice replies everyone Smile

Changed the lighting on his left shoulder.
Added a shadow of the cigarette on his right shoulder.
Changed the smoke going upwards from the cig.
Added the shape of the inside of his mouth (smoke going over the tongue, behind the teeth, little smoke upwards to the nose, to the back of his throat and down to the lungs, lungs split at the hight of the chest, but that's outside the frame and behind his shirt Razz

)
