hey all
it seems the guy who was using stolen portfolio work to gain jobs in games has been at this for a while. i pulled the other thread since i felt awareness had been raised. however I keep getting emails from pros in the industry who he either worked with or inteviewed with and the company list keeps growing.
the most recent contact i recieved was from a friend at factor five....who does the indiana jones games and other star wars licenses for the gamecube. tis a good group....anyhow...mr runyon had applied there as well and was even offered a job which he turned down to go to raven and quake 4 instead.
i put up this thread in the hopes that my friends and others would be able to avoid this behavior but it seems I am too late. i recieved an email recently that he is asking people to pretend to be an art director for his references. I do not believe his behavior has stopped.
I have been contacted by mr runyon now on two occasions...
the latter email accused me of slander.
chris...how dare you...i tried to help you do it right and you ignored that help. We gave you the time of day on the art forums and you have broken the trust of many.
Rather than send me accusatory emails I invite you to this public forum to say your peace. you want people to know the truth...here is an opportunity to come in and say it.

Aye!!!! this guy sucks indeed i just read the whole thing on eatpoo and heck if
I feel bad for the persons whoum work was stolen,
it takes lot of work to be able to paint and create good images,
this fella is and idiot thank god he was discoverd.
Maybe it will take long years to get to level fo tecnique that i dersire but heck that i will get there by my own efort and sweat; and belive me i will !!!!  : D

this disgusts me. He has not only ruined any career he had to begin with, but he has also weakened others seeking to get into the business of game development since employers will be forced to be more distrusting of any possible candidates and their talents.
he got what he deserved and will continue to get it because this will never leave him alone

some kid who stole some of the best CG off the web and put his name on it then posted a website saying he did it all. Heh.. funny thing is all of the stuff he posted was renowned work, no way in hell he could get away with it, 90% of it was in the CGTalk gallery looong before he got his hands on it.  |

Now I'm really f***ing pissed off!!!!! This is Eric Williams some of you know me as Death Dealler from taco!. This f**k posted one of my pieces at polycount. lets get one thing f**king straight.

I also work at Simutronics check this out!!! after he was fired I gave him twenty bucks so he could have some spending money in his pocket and this is how he repays me if i ever see him again mark my words I'm going break the little f**ks nose!!!!!
One more thing this a hole sent me an email telling me about his new job but didnt mention that he got it with my artwork!!!
