I think you should not stick with the colours but learn drawing. Take your time and practice more, try to make more sketches and concentrate on your linework. Check out some anatomy books and don't use Manga pics as reference, this way you will never get the understanding of the human body and the physics.

this is cool. people don't just say "Dude you did a pretty bad job at whatever you were trying".
They stay nice and say stuff like this.
If the first answer to your work. Is an advice that includes some of these words
"should, anatomy, more, loomis, try, not bad for the first time"
Then you can be pretty sure that your work sucks.
I know I'm offending. Sorry.
But I just wanted to tell why this topic made me laugh _________________ Philipp |

Flp: .what? How is saying flat out that something sucks supposed to encourage someone? (Not implying your work sucks moe) There is a proper format to a good critique you know, and that includes complements followed by what needs more work then another complement and so on, Whether you mean it or not.
However, if this is not what you were referring to than..fine.or something. _________________ Kevin Moore

actually I don't think that this piece of work sucks.
I guess he didn't get quite what he wanted cause its not pretty much comic style.
Its just that i had a lot of these comments to my works and it never mattered what they said cause i knew what they thought "This sucks but this poor guy. I have to be kind otherwise we lose an aspiring artist for teh comm"
I find that very cool. But its just pretty easy to identify and brings the same feeling of failure.
But you are totally right.- Everone sucks in the beginning. And even nowadaykickass artist got to hear this shit someday in past.
so keep it up moe. _________________ Philipp |
