its a mixture of 3d and painted elements. i hope to finish a larger version soon. this is really a test for lighting etc. |

i was just asking
and i want to find out what it is that makes 3d rendered stuff so easily recognised, there's a certain fakeness about the environment, the glass on the windows perhaps, im not saying the picture is bad, infact, it looks great _________________ Derelict Studios|Godwin's Space |

^ wasn't trying to bash you for anything
Ya there is a certain degree of "perfectness" in 3d renders if you don't touch them up enough... in real world pictures everything is so irregular if you were to look at it and in 3d renders (some) are so perfect it's really easy to spot that it was just made by a program (assuming they didn't take the time to touch them up in photoshop or not enuf effort in lighting/color/surface reflection etc). But this one... even though some 3d was used, it looks very realistic. It's just a little fuzzy but thats probably because of how he saved it.
Nice, I almost thought it was real at first glance.
