Fantastic picture! Quite different from your fantasy stuff.
By the way, could you hint which anatomy book do you use for your muscle studies? ![Cool](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) |

This is very professional, and no real critiques to give.. However, I did wonder what it would look like if the shadow was opposite, so I tred to do a paint over with shadow opposite.
I didn't really do the best job on the shadow. Its a little too dark, and not defined well.

The only reason I did this was to see if projecting the shadow opposite would look better.
I also made a few other changes just more for fun. Like making the head look more normal to me, and adding more human muscles in boy eye (to me).
I also made tooth a little smaller as it looks just a bit too big for my taste but nothing is wrong with it (in your picture). However, I would like to see it "pushed back" more into the mouth. I didn't do that but I think that would look more interesting.
Anyway, on the shadow. I think your shadow does add tension to the image. However, the tension it adds does make it more interesting. But, at the same time (to me) it makes it a bit annoying too.
I don't think the shadow must be changed. I cropped the image in this one to try to add a little more of the tension after the shadow was removed.
I think after thinking about the shadow in both places. I still can't decide. Maybe its just what you want.
Nice work again! |
