I don't know why this is happening, but when I'm painting in Photoshop with the opacity on, if I lightly go over the tablet with the pen, the brush shows up at full pressure. And if I press down harder than that light point, it uses the opacity and shows up where it should be, at a lighter pressure. But it is really bugging me and I don't know what to do about it. It's causing me to have to undo my history almost every other brushstroke.
I tried raising the pressure levels for it in Photoshop, and all other applications, but nothing seems to be working.
Does anyone else have this problem with their Wacom tablets? Sad

I have a similar problem....every once in a while, the pen will seem to go to 100% pressure. I think I usually exit photoshop when it happens, but fortunately it's not very often. Is your problem consistent/permanent now? If so, that really sucks. :/

That happed to me as well on occasion... suddenly a 100% stroke would appear. Very annoying. However, it has stopped. Not sure why, but it's either because I upgraded to Photoshop 7.1 or started using XP Pro... Don't know which was the cure...

I'm using XP Pro as well.

I guess I'll have to wait until I can get Photoshop 7 then. :\
At least I still have my Painter Classic. ^^ *Hugs Painter*

i think thats mainly a ps 6.0 problem only. all other ps versions work fine for me.

... and I think it has something to do with other programs that are running. I had this problem when other programs open a window in the background. Perhaps close other running programs and check if it gets better.

well as for the problem when u cant get the pressure etc dynamics to work at all try closing photoshop, loading the driver, ( c:/windows/system/tablet.exe) if that doesnt work open tablet.cpl at the same place ( ie c/windows/system) .
if your strokes just suddely become "flat" try pressing tab (in photshop ofcourse).this should clear the little boxes ( layers, history etc). press tab again to return to normal mode.
hope this helps...

B0b: Just for future reference, and to avoid potential questions with regard to your staunch record of heterosexual mandom, the idiom is "knock on wood", not "touch wood".
