I have a question about painting with oils. I've basically just started, and i find my paints are way too glossy. Is there a way to make the paints appear more flat? _________________ girls like shining |

Hey
The fifth drawing is very good, her hip is a little bit weird but the hair, the hair is super-good. :)
I like oils too but the drying time makes me crack up, I havent had glossy oil colors but I guess that depends on brand and such, what kind of brand do you use? Not sure if it is a way to fix it thou, the glossiness I mean.
Keep it up tilokani

hey matt, i realize that the perspective of the fifth drawing is off, and the anatomy isn't in proper ratio, thanks for noticing also.
on the topic of oils though i use the entry level quality oils from Reeves. This is basically to get an idea of oils and if they would do me any good, like a trial version. That could definately be a reason for the glossiness, but how could I fix that? mix it with something? _________________ girls like shining |
