Dimmu Borgir rocks!
Your colours and lighting are rahter excessive. Yet the figures are still flat to look at, meaning that the shading is applied whitout the proper knowledge. Or your control of the digital medium is limited.
I'd suggest you spend time with your pencil doing some still life images of your surroundings to learn about light and form.

Zu you should do stand up
Sukhoi i can easily draw with a pencil but its the photoshop that gives me problems, its so hard to control and it takes a long time....yet im still unsatisfied....so can you please be more specific....tnx dudes |

heh black metal is funny....
id suggest not using the smudge tools and concentrate on some principles of color theory |

dont use just one value. shadows on skin arent dark shades of brown.
there are greens, blues, purples, reds.... |

i'd suggest using lower opacities to blend your colors rather than the smudge tools.
keep at it.
http://www.3dluvr.com/content/article/49 - a little more basic in terms of color. almost paint by numbers and then smooth. it might suite your style.
but just look around, there are plenty of tutorials and information on color theory and rendering. especially right here on this forum. |
