Oohh. I like it.
As far as critisism goes I'd say that the shadow cast by the train is a little close to the train itself as if the wall is closer to it than what is actually possible. And maybe the shadow is a little dark aswell, or perhaps the front of the train should be just a tad bit brighter to differentiate the two. The fog is a little hurried aswell, I think.
Otherwise I really like it. Especially the train design itself! Great.
The second one has a perfect balance to it's sketchiness making it impossible to ctrit. It's precisely at the level of looseness the eye needs to understand and appreciate the scene, while not instinctively searching for errors and "wrong" details.
Good stuff. I'd still like to see them moore finished though, even if it's not necessary....you know?!

just 2 replies so far?
hi dr.missle, very amazing! really hard to find things to crit for, maybe just what sukhoi mentioned above about the trains shadow on the wall, i do agree with him, the train seems a bit too close to the wall, should be in highly danger
otherwise everythin looks perfect to me, both.bravo! |

personally i love the looseness of them. If you want to tighten it up ...i guess....but the overall mood i think is achieved beautifully. Kudo. _________________ "Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief." |

Amaizing work. Rendering/atmosphere is enveloping. If i had to go picky i'd say i couldn't read the first one right away... but that would be going picky. _________________ "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity" - Sigmund Freud |

I'm in awe. I wish I could be that loose. I'm way too anal when I paint. _________________ Whoa, so if I type in here the text will appear in my sig? |

Both images are fantastic, but I am confused by the first one. The engine/thrust/door/machine/portal thing confuses me. Its front seems to blend into the wall, so I cannot figure out what it is or what it is doing. Perhaps this needs to be edited a bit to be made more clear. I know I am a complete moron for not understanding this, but the world is full of morons and there are bound to be others who are equally confused. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |
