hey dudes, i started this for the DSG on CA.org but i guess i got a bit carried away and spent too much time on it! its taken me 3 hours to get this far! and now i seek comments from you forum goers to aid me on my journey to complete it 
sorry bout all the pencil smudges!

I like the texturing in the first image best. It looks alot better than the finished image. I know it sucks that it took 3 hours to get that far, but it looks great. I don't like the second image at all, and I feel like you are cheaping the image with a quick end. Take the time and finish it off properly. Keep in mind that 6 or 7 images for a single image is not too much time if its going to premier in an event or win a contest.

I don't agree with Cheney at all!! I think the second one is excellent, and I think the blacked out parts adds to the energy in the picture.
I think the body design is very cool, and it looks powerful ideed.
I you are going to color it I would suggest coloring "on top" of this, thereby slightly destoying the original line art. In this way the coloring is not going to be too affected by the lineart, and I think this would give the drawing more "life". As compared to the spaceturkey for instance. (I'm rambling)
