The rules of Draw Club:

. Each theme will last exactly one week.
. We're looking for an effort, not a 10 minute sketch.
. You are not limited to the digital media.
. Do not "reserve" your place, post an image only when you have something to post.
. Feedback is encouraged.
. Keep away from interpretations of an adult nature.
. Post as many times as you like.
. Have fun.

Draw Club #19: Alien Landscape

You can add a little astronaut for scale if you so desire, but let's see how alien we can make those landscapes.

(topic cred: Scott's recent posts)

Didn't spend as much time on this as I should have. About two hours. I'm beginning to realize how rusty my technique is. Embarassed

I -LOVE- Roger Dean. The Yes albums have the fuckin' greatest sleeves ever. I have the Close to the Edge LP, it's just unreal. I wish I had the Relayer LP though.

Awesome work. It really does those covers justice.

Relayer was awesome. There's actually a video on his website about how he went about doing the painting, some interesting info in there. You might like this one as well. This was a done a while ago, but I think it fits the topic quite well and it's also very Dean-like (based on his "arches" pic). Wink

Mark Harris: Thanks. Hoping to see some Mark Harris action in here before the week's out. Wink

YEAH!

That's some of what Draw Club is about. Ceenda pulls out some Roger Dean skills, Barrett continues his run of high quality DC participations, and Duracel... well, Duracel posts his best picture yet. And everyone else lifted the bar too. Good effort.

And so we leave DC #19 on a high note. Let's see if there's some of that music left for DC #20.
