I decided to spend a little more time on this one, despite it being compositionally somewhat lame. Here's the old one from the speedpainting thread.
I've got to stop futzing so much with my levels as I work and just paint what I see in my head.
Anyway, this is a fire-fighting bomber. Forest fires were a big part of my childhood growing up in the Sierra Nevadas, and I've always had a lot of respect for the pilots who fly these kinds of missions. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

Yeah I remember the speedy you made, I like this one more and its a very nice picture.
btw what is it they use in those aero-planes, is it sand mixed with water?

That's a pretty cool image. but I think I like the speedpainting better...
I tell you why: it's simple,...the colorsheme is the reason...I love such colorshemes...it looks warm cause of the yellow dust...your more finiehd painting looks too cold I think...hey, just taste
Your stuff always rocks!! |

The paintings' content somehow clashes with the old-oilpainting-crackely texture you put over the image IMO. |
