OK, I just got an Intuos 2, 12 by 12 tablet and so far, I'm just frustrated with the thing. It just seems very in accurate.

I tried something very basic. I drew 2 dots, and tried to draw a line from one dot, to the next dot. For some reason, I can't connect the dots. It's just a very simple procedure, but I always miss the second dot. I know I didn't set my tablet tilted. Cuz my tablet was at a perfectly right angle. I've tested it. But I just can't even seem to connect 2 dots together with a simple line.

Another problem. The line seems very wiggly. I draw one line and the line doesn't look straight. It's very wiggly. How am I supposed to color something cleanly, if my line keeps jumping to the left, then right, then left again, and right again?

I'm VERY frustrated with this thing so far. Why the hell is this thing so inaccurate?

Hi,

Make sure your tablet is not too close to your monitor. Move it something like 6 to 8 inches away from the monitor.. maybe further.. and see if that helps.

If not, give Wacom a call. They're great about giving support to their customers.

There should be no reason that you can't easily connect the dots with the tablet. Unless your aim is off, you probably need to make sure everything is set up the way you want it, whether in pen mode or mouse mode, and check to make sure that what your drawing on your tablet is proportional to what's on the screen.

As Jin said, moving your tablet further from your monitor should solve the jiggle problem. If it's still bad, try changing the refresh rate a few times and see if you can find one that doesn't have so much of an affect. Good luck.

If it is a 12"x12" perhaps you did not set it to the same aspect ratio as your screen. the Screen is normaly 12x9. You will waste some space of your tablet but the 12"x12" tablets are actually not made for painting but rather for CAD and DTP stuff.
Try changing the aspect ratio of your tablet to fit the screen (I think there is an option in the settings for that) and try the line thing again. Maybe that�s it.
