Some people who were lurking in #eatpoo when I was working on this may remember the embarrassing mistake I made to begin with. Fortunately, I got the chance to get rid of the mistake. Thanks to davi for the clothing folds advice and stuff. Anyway, it's a picture of a fairy I did for rauvyon.com.
...and a quick rat thing.
I used to have a really scratchy LP of "La Bohme", and I misheard the line "Volevi dire--bella come un tramonto" as "Quanto bello l'ultimo tramonto" (which very nearly makes sense, in fact). I didn't realize I had misunderstood the words until I got a CD years later.
Anyhow, I liked the misheard lyrics, so I decided to make a picture about them. Even if this is the last night ever, these scruffy ol' rats don't care. They are enjoying the late summer warmth. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

I'm really digging the 2nd picture...
Now I'm curious about this "mistake"... must go find out.
[edit]

Picks are great...
Did you ever try to draw picture looking like a dream? I think you should... Ghost-blurred stylization with deformations... Hmmm, it could be great with your style. |

liquid1 - Thank you...glad you enjoy 'em. I'm always kind of going for the dreamy/hazy look, so it's cool that you get that from the pictures.
Matthew - Thanks! I like trees and grass...they're fun to paint. Scenery is better than figures. Yeah.
Gotham - Thanks! No, I can't say I have ever tried that, but it sounds like an interesting idea. If I ever do a picture with ghosts I might try that.
jtaz87 - Thank you--glad you like 'em! And, hey, even a rat can be beautiful, in the right lighting and so forth! Rats rule.
aColdOldKodiak - Thanks! And, yeah...it was a very embarrassing mistake. I can't believe I didn't even notice it till I was done.
eyewoo - Thanks! The mistake was...well, one of the fairy's hands was in a slightly inopportune position, to put it delicately. I felt like a real idiot.
merlyns - Thank you! Glad you like 'em...and glad my embarrassing mistake made you laugh. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

I always come upon your work in these forums and immediately think, "Whoa!" Then realize it is you. I have seen your work for the last 2 years and you keep your work fresh. Though there are things that I can point to that give away it is you (like rats) or for example the way the hair on the top one flows out... I still feel a relief looking at your stuff. _________________ Consciousness: That annoying time between naps. |

tbone28 - Thank you! I do try to keep improving...although, I can't see it sometimes, myself.
Max Kulich - Thanks! Glad you like it! I usually don't like green and wouldn't use it, but the customer wanted a lot of green.
william willette - Well...I don't think it would really be appropriate to give a figure, but I make enough to live on, and stuff. I'm really broke at the moment, because I'm moving to Canada, but usually I am not broke. It's a decent living. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.
