well,
im a really newbie with graphic-programms like photoshop or painter,

i did 3d-modeling for 2-3 years and do it quite well, so i want to increase my skills in painting,...

nevertheless, i started painting in painter 8 for 2- 3 weeks,
and this is the second project i work on,

i hope you can give me some suggestions and say what to improve

THX

Only thing you should be looking out that you dont improve your self too much too fast cos that could really on loose his mind and go grazy. Translation: I think thats a very good job for only couple of weeks of practicing. Im quite newbie in painting my self too. I strated about six months ago and had only little experience of PS before. Compared to that your work seems to be more than in order. So keep it up.

Few things I noticed after a good look.
The chin seems to be a little bit too big. (or its my imagination which is more than possible) And the the hole in the nose. (i dont know the correct word for it...nose hole???) Anyway, it looks too large too. And i think you should have some lightins around it like in the eye to make the edges of the hole a bit sharper. Breast looks flat. But hey, thats the way it is somethimes am i right?

Mood is good in the picture. I love the colours and your shading. Eye is definatly very realistic looking like her hair too.

well, thank you for your comment,

i think you are absolutly right that you go crazy when you want to improve your work, in 2D even more than in 3D-section;

i will refine the chin a little, but the properties are right (i used a template)
the breast was improved already, but i dont increased the size... Rolling Eyes

thank you for tips...

hi, welcome aboard!

what do you mean by a template?

a few things to point out: overall it's too flat, especially the right side of the neck. this is caused by the dodge/burn tools you used(i assume), don't use these, mainly because they are just very uncontrollable.
try to build up the form with only hard paintstrokes. i know it's tricky at first, but you will soon see it's the best way to learn it.
the nose looks a bit short, and the eye is too high, should be on about a half from top of skull to chin.

you've done a nice job, keep it up. some parts are done very well, like the shirt she's wearing and the hair.

well,

a template is a reference image, isnt it?

I used it to achieve right proportions and head-form,
but because of the wrong shading it could looks not right!
(i dont want to copy the reference image... so differences does exist;
the original nose looks quite different to this nose...)

u are right that i used dodge/ burn very often,
i saw a video tut and the actor also used this tools (although the result didnt look that well)

i will try out the way you said...
and tweak the mistakes,

thank u for tips
