This is the first digital painting I've done since getting my wacom tablet that I actually think is decent enough to show. It's done at 300 dpi, original size 1000 x 3000 in Painter 7. I am having some difficulties with the right eye and lips, along with a couple other things. If you have something to add and want to do a paint over I don't mind. Thanks in advance for the comments and suggestions.

First huh? Damn good. Only thing i would do is adding some contrast and textures. Oh yeah and a background is allways nice too.
The lips and the eye are quite ok. He has a clear feeling on hes face. |

What's wrong is the perspective. For a moment, think of the head as a cylinder. Draw a line all the way around his head at the level of his eyes in perspective. You'll find that instead of both eyes being either sloped up or down, they go in opposite directions and do not line up. The mouth has the same problem. It is straight, as though we are looking at it at eye level, when in fact we are looking down at it. Again, draw a line around the head using correct perspective and figure out where that mouth should go.
If you are not at all familiar with perspective, you should learn that immediately! |

It's not that I am not familiar with perspective, I had several classes that dealth with just perspective in college. I am teaching myself a completely new technique though. I'll go back and redraw some of those bits and see if I can't get them to line up better. Thanks for the suggestions. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
