i've gotten painter classic w/at least three different hardware devices i've bought, and every time i couldn't use it because for some reason even the GUI's colors are all ultra-violet/reversed.. when i try to use any of the tools, they work, but the colors are definitely wrong. is there something i'm not doing? or is this the difference from painter classic and the real painter?
thanks.. always wanted to see what this painter thing's really about.

I think your problem is the resolution. You must change it from 24 bit colours to 32 bit colours (or viceversa, I cannot remember well). That should fix your problem. _________________ _ _ _____ _ _

If your display is set to 16-bit colors check the "No Device Dependent Bitmaps" option in Edit -> Preferences -> Windows -> Display Option in Painter. With 24...32-bit color setting this option is not needed and Painter should look just fine as tayete said.
