I am going to be doing some card work for a new game coming out in 2004. I was asked to do an 'Amazon Warrior' and this is what I threw together....still working on it though...the game is Mage Warfare and is looking for other artists for its card selection. yeah i dont know guys, i mean this was made from an actual picture of a real amazon i ran into once who was in the middle of the forest with her gigantic sword recieving a message from God.....but not right before killing wild turkey for her feral children. Shocked

she REALY needs a face... you should just have a link of light bareley tuching the left side of her face, illuminating her cheek, nose, and most importantly, eyes.

hmm something tells me that this isnt a real pic of an amazon guys... seeing that the image is fictional the orintation of the brests are really up to the creator, looks good to me... but lobbing out the face was a big cop

the face wasn't meant as a cop-out....however i did assume that the hair was in the way of the face, thus creating the dark shadow that merges into the darkness the rest of her body has been consumed by.

I agree that she definitely needs a face. The hair doesn't register as though it is in front of her face, nor is there any other indication of wind in the image. Even if there was, it doesn't appear to benefit the composition in any way, other than saving the artist some time.

The lighting on the figure itself is nice and interesting. The hair is less successful. The shadow is very round and doesn't seem to follow the shape of the hair at all. Also, the sword seems to be lit in a different manner from the figure, even though they are both perpendicular.

i believe that amazon warriors cut off their right breasts so that they would not interfere with their archery...
