Hi guys
I have lurked around here a few times and decided to joinup there are so many amazing artists here and it's got me more inspired to really practice drawing/painting. I have had my wacom sitting staring at me for a number of months now and picked it up to start learning. I just finished this airbrush something simple to start me off. C&C's are very welcome I know that you all can teach me a lot.
Oh Yeah I did use a photo reference...not tracing just a reference. Can't learn much from tracing now can you. =) |

Hehe. Don't let the lack of crits & comments get you down. People usually don't respond to these posts. I happen to be one of you. New people that never get the attention that they so crave. I haven't seen your art yet, it's not loading, so I can't say whether this applies to you too but -- Wishing I could be half as good as everyone else.
At any rate, I wish I was as lucky as you are.. with a wacom.. staring at you.. .. I have a trackball.. Staring at me. Mocking me. Laughing. Taunting. And occassionally chewing on my toe. Wait - no, that's my hamster Skippy.
Anyways - to get to the point. Don't get discouraged.
Best of luck to you! |

You did a REALLY good shading job, in my opinion. |

I'm also an extreme newbie in search of talent. I can visualize and then I draw and it comes out completely different and it's often discouraging. Anyway, I really like the tomato and the shading is great. The only thing I noticed is that the stem is really detailed and the tomato itself is maybe... too smooth and flawless in comparison with the stem. Hope you get what I'm saying. |
