Pretty sure I haven't posted these here, but I hope you'll forgive any repeats. These are some of the latest sketchbook updates. Some life drawing, some fun stuff, some national geographic reference drawing all kind mixed together.

That's a great range of characters you've created. Makes me want to know more about them. |

I love this. Every single drawing. Like the mouth on that Jerry Garcia-lookin' guy: I love that. And those other things, I love those, too. And almost every one of these characters looks as though it's just begging to be animated. I aspire to be able to draw characters as loose, intentionally expressive, yet seemingly effortlessly rendered as yours.
Sorry for the excessive fawning. Sometimes work will really catch my eye, and, in a moment of weakness, I'll say exactly what I think about it. _________________ "made for the extrememe priority the good looks" |

Nice studies dude. It's always fun to see how you capture something. Some of the expressions you capture are so dead on real. That's a skill we can all aspire to. Good job and keep it going.
ps. just an observation but since I've been looking at your stuff for a couple of years now: your older work seemed more imaginitive. Maybe it's just me though. You've definately improved in skill though

Awesome work isric. Love it!
You have so much confidence in your strokes. How do you keep your lines so clean? Are you using a hard lead pencil? _________________ www.jasonink.net/journal |
