Cant that be fixed in the control Panel in the settings there
or the software that follows with the pen table?

yea i guess but the thing thats wrong is, uhhh, its hard to explain, well, instead of the cursor of the tablet going on small dots, it goes on larger dots for some reason, therefore giving it a jumpy feeling when u use the pen. Well, ive already reinstalled it, and its back to normal. Ill have to remember to try that next time this happens mat. Thx anyway!

good work andy. its VERY strange for me to see you working with the mouse while you got the tablet. Don't think too much about the textue IMHO its not so important, at least there are more important things Smile

yes i worked some more on "the boring covers", there is still a month till the dead line so i hope i will come up with something non-crappy

posting this only to make this post less usless

oDD: I just don't get Painter Classic I guess. I think I'll try to figure out how to paint with the airbrush tool.
Somehow the saturation is always 100% even if the slider is almost set to zero!?
I just don't get that program I guess.

I like your trees. The colors work!

Matthew: Good! Especially the first one (but too small Confused )!
Not enough webspace? That sucks! Hope you come with a good solution!

Painter Classic / Wacom Volito:

#18 - Truck(s)

[edit]
Eeeek somehow I thought the sketchy lined looked cool earlier!
Now I guess I'll have to get back to that image ...
[/edit]

#19 - TV

Some Gimp in this one:

#20 - Paint A Still-Life With A Variety Of Round Objects

I'm thinking the airbrush experiment failed!

Woah I love the waterfall!

The reflections are not exactly accurate ... but luckily it's hard to tell when you haven't seen the real thing Wink
... so thanks Smile !
Only one key is ok! I did the same with the truck(s) ...

It's too blurry, right?
I'll try to work with the oil brushes again! Does anybody use Painter Classic?
What settings do you use?

#22 - Tree(s)

Thanks Matthew and thanks Max!
Btw. Max: post more images! ... please! Smile

Matthew: No speedpaintings from you ... that would suck.
Btw. Have you tried using larger brushes yet?
I like your trees! The rocks look pretty much alike though ...
that kinda takes away from the image.

ShockWire: Great! I like the way you capture the most important informations.
The subtle rock texture is amazing!

Probustion: Great image ... good concept!
I think it would be cooler though if either the form of the farthest tank was not that well defined ...
or the right tank was drawn like the others.

#43 - A Surfer (no ref)

I decided to do 2 versions (when I don't hate the topic) from now on. One with reference and one without.

Andy: thanks! yeah i will fix the right tank. i will tighten it up but keep the design different from the others, sorta like it is now. also the ground will have alot more holes in it. maybe even some explosions, not sure if i can pull that off already.

how about the composition? it's a very weak point in most of my images with little or no ref. so i've been reading some stuff about it, and tried to incorporate some of that in this image.

Probustion - thank you. :) Those tanks are awesome.

AndyT - thank you regarding the speedpaintings. :) Cool surfer there. :)
btw great tip you gaved me about the big brushes yeah I have tried some with them and it gives a bit of texture yea.
You are right about the rocks, the whole image is kind of sloopy, but I called it a sketch and called it a day on that one ..hehe ...muahhabaha.
See if I can launch another one today, I have to fix more of the laundry right now.
Also, Max went away on a 2 weeks vacation, I think it was Utah.

see you and keep up the great work dudes. :)

You were online after I wrote it ... but it's still in the outbox!
I guess you didn't notice it!?

Matthew: Thank you! Cool gradient on the screen btw.
What tool did you use? Smudge? Airbrush?

#476 - Old Sick Man in Hospital Bed

It's actually my father. At least, from the shoulders up it looks like him. *sniff* Always will miss him.
References: Dads pictures used for person. Variety of photos for interesting cloth folds and creases. Another picture off corbis for the whole 'hospital bed' form.

Probustion: Whoa, those guys are behemoths. 'course I suppose tanks are. *loves tanks* Great concept

Matthew: I envy your (and Pierre's for that matter) ability to paint with full opacity like that. Personally I like the TV too, it has feeling. (Don't ask me why, it just feels like the TV has a personality of its own XD).

AndyT: Mmm, I like the "wave". And the interesting colors.

#30 - Cube

Look familiar? Apparently it was an excersize/tutorial people did a while ago, for rendering light and shadow I suppose? Tried it out myself. Making realistic cubes is no easy task -_- It still looks odd.

AndyT: You handled the perspective on that last image very well Smile Still very rough though.

Hey

AndyT - thank you, I used the airbrush with a darker grey and bright brown on the screen. :)

ShockWire - Nice cube there.
I cant paint anything like pierre thou but the full opacity is very funny and difficult, thank you regarding the tv. :)
Also the hospital picture is very well rendered.

AndyT, Cool idea with the camel in the bar. :)

see you
Matthew

ShockWire: That cube is not bad!
I think it would look better against a darker background!
And judging from the cast shadow the top surface shouldn't be that bright.
(The lightsource isn't directly above the cube)
I think the cast shadow also should be darker!
The receding surface should be in shadow just a little brighter than the facing surface (but it looks lit)

And yeah the no ref images Crying or Very sad ...
let's just say I hope I will see some improvement in this area.

francmidi: Thanks Smile ! It's Jackie in "Rumble in the Bronx" ... just in case you didn't know.
Actually it's not courageous! It's possible to quit at any time Wink

#44 - A Camel (from ref)
