pierre - thank you there. :)

I was thinking about the old Skateboard posters back in the 80s for this one, you know when they said Skate or die, hehe I thought it would fit in with painting too. :)
Paint or die.

Hasta Luego

This is a quick oil portrait done in one sitting session. My gf was posing on the balcony, can you see that she is angry with me =) . I might have her sit for me tomorrow too if the weather is as nice.

The reflections on the wet paint and the bad reproduction really screwed the colors and values up.

Pierre: That was a nice MSPaint piece Very Happy
digital: I like your cartoon pieces a lot and I think your old man on the ship's bridge ain't too shabby, either.
williamwilette:Courageous MS Paint foray!

30min. jungle/tree setting. Maybe the trees are way too saturated?

bytheway, anyone know where a fellow can go these days to get good crits?

pierre - the last samurai doesn't look so samurai to me by some reason. maybe it's the white collar that fuck's it up... or the pretty face
nice job

aColdOldKodiak - the portrait has some nice mood to it. the neck is kindof flat though... i think it's because of the highlight... i like the red eye. it's red but still it doesn't look unnatural\

OMG u guys make this thread a legend! great stuff everyone!

Varg: hey i really love your latest samurai pic, you know i like the loose, sketchy style which ive been always trying to achieve. yeah sometimes its hard to control, just too easy to lose the form.my tip is, work more on contours and outlines to keep the form looking clear. nice work there again:)

pierre: yeah i heard you, so im commin up with these...(btw. the oil painting kicks ass!your gfs very charming too Wink )

Hello, my name is Wayne. I have just fliped through a few pages of the speed painting topic and I have lost my breath. I was under the impression that no one was using digital tools to creat actual painting. I am suprised and happy to see that the grand tradition is not dead! I will post some of my own work in which I worked fast (45 mins) I have been doing it for years and now I see I now have a place to go!

Love the work!

Later
