Very nice, as usual. IMO few things in lower half could benefit a bit from slight grunge-like texture. _________________ a.k.a. azazel or eltazar |

That's really damn nice Sparth -- bravo!
One small thing I've noticed, is that the perspective on the supporters seems different than the top potion... as if they were rotated about ~15 degrees CounterClockwise. Otherwise very very nice. I especially love the Fresnel term on the top radar panel (or whatever that is)... I think it looks great! |

What does IMO mean?
and no crits sparth, except that i think that some texture in the lower left would look nice. gj _________________ -Chase |

sparth: awesome work man! The subtle colour variation is really nice too.
I agree with Frost about the perspective thing. |

I thought it was "Honest" ? , English is a crazy language ..hehe. :)
btw can anyone explain what "Thread" means, I know what it is here but I dont know what it means really. The swedish translation for thread is like when you Thread through a crowd but I guess in this forum Thread means document or does it mean something else?

Very nice design. Love the colours and the overall composition / sense of scale and space.
Matthew: Thread could be associated to many things...
Early web forums had a tree like structure. Discussions meandered into long branches/strings/threads.
A thread is a mostly linear object, a discussion is usually on a particular topic and thus sticks to a common direction/line. But this can also be shaped/moved in a new direction. Much like any discussion or conversation. String/Thread is linear, yet can can also be shaped into a new direction.
"Are you following the thread of this discussion?" |

Great work as always. Your pictures always have such life and motion to them, and, of course, the colors... oh the colors. Just curious, do you use PS or Painter? These look like they could go either way (in my humply opinion). Great work, keep it up. |

sorry for not having answered sooner to all your kind comments. i sometimes wonder if my brain is really suited for net stuff. i forget about so many things, it's becoming a handicap.
azz: i think i could have added a few hours of work for the lower part. however, i guess it's a good thing to stop painting if you feel you're becoming bored. the only factor that has changed is that i used to get bored very very fast. now i can peacefully spend days on an illustration.
frost: true, perspective on the supporters is a little bit off. we see too much of the left planes falling in the water i suppose. thanx mate.
cwstone, ceenda, tomasis, jr, malachi: ty
matthew: rightie. but it's a very pleasant exercise. however, spending more time on pieces may represent a very dangerous trap. as we tend to SOMETIMES describe things with too much precision, in a very useless way.
max kulich, ian jones: thanx
aColdOldKodiak: don't know what it is either. archetypic forms from within my brain. industry structures.....
tinusch: photoshop only. thanx

Great work! Your sense of atmospheric perspective is especially impressive. One thing I would suggest for the first image: flip it horizontally. Your eye flows left to right through the composition as opposed to getting trapped in that pocket where the helicopter is. Try it - you'll see what I mean... ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ Uhh... yeah, what I just said. |

Nice work as always. I like that second robot thing, very recognizable as sparth work, but it seems more evolved somehow. On that first environment painting, I think it might be nice to see some more detail/scale giving elements in the foreground. The environment looks epic and massive in the top half of the painting, but loses a bit of that sense at the bottom of the painting. _________________ Francis Tsai
