Hi,
I've seen a lot of people post little pink sculptures on this site. I was wondering what type of material is used. How would a total newbie go about starting to learn this? Any tutorials sites will be greatly appreciated!!
thanks!!

I'm guessing it's the stuff I use, called Super Sculpey. It's ceramic-like sculpting clay. It's very easy to work with and bakes in your oven. I have made some really nice marionettes with it.

Feed Google with these:

-super sculpey
-polymer clay

Modelling with sculpey is quite easy. You can roughly shape in your sculpture with wire and aluminium foil and then apply sculpy direcly on it. You can bake the sculpture several times so that you wont accidently damage parts that are finished, You can craft the material after baking wth drills and sandpaper (tip: use the sandpaper under water. This way it wont wear off as quickly as it does without water - this is very useful with very fine sandpaper). You can paint the sculptures with ordinary acrylic paint. For evenly coloring big parts an airbrush is a must have. You wont achieve a nice and smooth color coat with a brush.
