this pic deserves some comments i think. it's a nicely executed piece, looks a bit watercolor-ish on some places. something about the perspective doesn't seem right. the ground with the people on them is level with the viewer but the clouds are too low. and i think there could be a more interesting landscape, with some hills or houses in the distance.
don't mind if you disagree though. |

I like it. I don't see the perspective probs. Nor do I find the need for more going on with houses and stuff in the backgroud -- I like the 'horizon' being so close, compostitionally.
This is no criticsm of probustion's comments, just another opinion.
the only I thing I'm not so keen on, which is totally preferene rather than any techincal perspective or colour issue, is the rendition/execution, the brushstrokes, mark making, all that, y 'know. I like the broader strokes and simplified, looser looking, free-er style. |

Thanks for the comments, I do see what you mean about the perspective, the viewer isn't meant to be level with the viewer, its meant to be as if the viewer is looking up, which means there would only be clouds. I do agree it doesn't quite work. I also see what you mean about the brush stokes, the problem I have is that the image is massive (3000 * 2000) so when you shrink it down it starts to look a lot more detailed. |

I think it has great mood to it.
I like the the guy standign in the bg with his back towards us and the guy in the front gives me some strange feelings too.
Kinda reminds me of the mood in a david lynch film.
Pretty surreal. _________________ marek |

I can't see any problems with the perspective. Very nice illustration. I like especially how you painted the people. A little Hopper-like. ![Cool](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) _________________ *** Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your signature to help me spread! *** |

i like this one too. If you still want it to look like ur looking up, what u could possibly do is just crop the bottom out, and make the bottom that thin line of grass. But, although this would help in perspective, the botom half does look nice, and you probably spent a lot of time on it. o well, whatever, nice work tho! _________________ -Chase |
