hey, me and my mate dave sat down one evening and decided to change some model pictures around. We started out with the white-black + lots of shit on dannii minogue, which turned out pretty nice, but not really that much to brag about, but here they are anyway:

edit:

next thing was to bleach naomi campbell and put her in a new environment, we thought making her skin look pale would be a worthy challenge, so we set to work.

this is what happend:

i know this isnt painted from the start but hey its an interesting piece of work and i would love some comments on it!

to conclude, plz comment!

that's actually... kinda cool. The top one is funkadelic, but looks nice, and the bottom... is werid. I dunno, it looks like a painting on top of a photo, but knowing that women used to be black... (think the only thing that's really different is the lips huh?). Yeah, good work, I'm just not sure how to critique.

Yeah the face is too hard ... when it started to look like a male face I cropped it like that:

I think the hair texture doesn't look natural at all in the 2nd image btw!

iam getting double messages here, either you didnt like the face i did, or you are having trouble with yours, iam going for the second one.

i.e: did you just think my pic looked like a man, and then cropped naomi for fun?... OR do you think making the head look like a white person was hard for you and then cropped it out of yours? ( you can interpet that in many ways )

The shadows of a pale person are much more saturated to my knowledge, atleast it look better, i would add some color to those dark parts, and also add alot more pinkish color to the whole pic while still desaturating the larger and lighter parts of the body.

and yeah the hair is kinda hard... but i think it fits the mood quite well, so iam happy =D

I was referring to that ... I meant: I tried changing the face too and I didn't get it right.

Yeah the face in you image is bothering me too. Especially the hair texture.
Yours doesn't look male ... but not natural either somehow.

I posted the result because I thought it looks more natural than yours
(Not the face! The body!)
but I'm not sure.

And because you wrote that...

...I figured you wouldn't mind!?

no of course! i dont mind! i love that you do your version, but i dont think your version looked very natural either,, yours looks more like a black person that is just lightened..

pale skin doesnt behave in the same manner as dark skin, and must thus be edited more specifically, and not just curved.

anyway i really appreciate that you do your version, but i do not agree your looks more natural.

I think I'd have to see a white woman in the same situation.
I guess you're right!

I painted over it with a low opacity brush with different colors though!
Then I used the brightness/contrast tool.

I think Andy's version (of the body) looks more natural but wreck's face is better for obvious reasons.
