Hey, Im just in a little rut here, Im wanting to make a little video for my friends since I'm moving to the other side of the country in a month (A little 'I'll miss you guys' kinda video). I know I could use either Macromedia Flash or Adobe Premiere, but Im not sure which one would be better suited for my situation since I sorta know how to use Flash, and have no knowledge in Premiere whatsoever.
So I have MP3s that I wanna play during this "video", and tons of pictures, and I wanna add the text, and basically make it into a video, with the occasional "pop-up video" sorta style. I will be burning the video to CD and sending it out via snail mail, so I want to make sure it will work on people's computers with no probs at all.
Which program would be better suited for me in this situation? I am willing to learn how to use Premiere, but Im pretty sure it's mainly used for actual video footage, and now just a simple animation (like my idea).
If anyone has an idea as to which I should use, suggestions are welcome, and if there are better programs that will suit my needs, please let me know.
Thank you for your time.

I would assemble the footage and sound in premeire. do any strange effects you want there, transitions and crap...then import it into flash and add the vector pop-up things, etc. :)
maybe i'm going about it all wrong, but that's the approach I'd take as I'm not very fluent in flash. |

welll, the only thing is, is that i don't really have any 'real' footage of any video, i'm basically (wanting) to make a mpg/avi file out of a bunch of picutires and mp3's with the occasioal pop-up video effect. make sense?
