Wasssup, great, i like this one! Smile

Pierre, your new dog looks fine to me too. Perhaps its the size ... well im not sure about it in this painting, but perhaps he is a bit larger than a normal dog.

pierre: You get the lighting perfect every time.

There was a photo of someone doing craftwork and the folds on the shirt looked interesting so I thought I'd do a quick study.

Wish I had something to post, but I just gotta give props to pierre--When you paint something, it looks solid, man. And almost like a radiosity render. You must give me some of your secrets. . . And that high school pic--NOICE!

pierre, sweet! How do you select your colours? I mean you have such a rage of different hues and it's just so nice, do you just continously select new colours?

tho that's aboviosly not why your amazing, I mean, you could produce better artwork than most people using only a rusty peice of metal agianst a wall.

You're totaly sexi man, you're single?

see: great!
not too fond of the composition (the ribbon is too close to the edge of the picture), but i love the strokes, the texture, the colors - pretty much everything.

edit: thanks soeren!

spiralEye, why thanks! I didn't even know I had secrets. (ceenda seems to know though =) )

wassup, if you keep this excellent speed painting spree I am sure you will produce works worthy of admirers long after you are gone

Capt. Fred, Thanks and let me first say, THATS NOT A SELF PORTRAIT =) and I am not single, but will be soon if I spend more time with my brush (art is really the most jealous person in a relationship).

About the colors, I decide for a mood first and when I am done I prepare the colors in a palette in a separate window, with the key values and colors (sometimes I just go off on the drawing itself) and here is where you shouldn't be afraid. When I paint traditionally, with oils or acrylic etc, taking a wrong color on the brush can actually enhance my work, even though I have control of my color blending, variation is the key word. There aren't really any shortcuts, as far as I know, study the world around you and you will soon discover that stuff really have a great variation in color, experiences that you can use in your painting, the more you look the more you will learn and it will come spontaneously after a while. We happen to live in a very unsaturated world. I really don't think that much, I just let it go off, for me, most often, that produces better result than the overly stiffness an exaggerated scientific approach can have.

ceenda, please, you have to fill me in on that one, what is the secret? =) great work!
