This one's been on hold for a while. Had some time lately to make some changes, thought I'd put it out there for some feedback.

I like it, its got an interesting story implied and the style is nice. It just needs more grime and trash to make it more "urban" and gritty. Maybe a few broken bottles and a bum passed out nearby. I'd also maybe add some additional buildings to the skyline with some that maybe look more futuristic; right now the architecture is good as normal present-day and that flying car implies that its in the future -- and I can believe that in the future there would still be some of the same architecture as there is now but there would also be new styles of architecture. |

The guys is excellent, however the background is lacking in many areas. The walls of the building aren't thick enough, the perspective on the opposite building is distorted aswell. If you use some reference I'm shure you can make it look much moore real. But the biggest problem of this image is the "standard" sci-fi fluff: The car which looks like a car that has no wheels because it flies...The contemporary buildings with contemporary roadsigns raised a couple of hundred meters and so on.
I'm not intending of bashing you, it would just make the image way better if you sat down and had a thinking session first, to avoid all the pitfalls of this genre. And with the excellent quality of the guy you can definately pull it off!!!
Keep up the good work!

Now that I think more about it, I think I would lose that car altogether and completely redesign it. Even something as hackneyed as a flying car can be captivating if its a quality design. (Hell we were supposed to have flying cars in the year 2000 -- so where's mine??) I'd probalby go look at some flying cars that have been done, and at concept cars and at maybe stuff like aircraft and so forth. I bet you could come up with something that looks a lot cooler than this one. Maybe something more formidible too, like a police prowler that looks all military and bristling with artillery. Something that says, this guy is hunted and alone and must survive by his cunning. Because that's kind of what I get from the picture but its not emphasized enough. |

Thanks for the comments. Here's the updated version. This is pretty close to my original concept. Just in the process of putting the finishing touches on it.

Very atmosperic pic. But one thing is imo wrong with it. I think you saw the same problem with it when you created the title of this thread: It doesn't look as if it takes place in the 101st. It could be as well the 1st floor. I hope this is helpful for you.
Have a nice weekend.
Err, just another thought: my english is bad; If the title means "Fugitive on the 101st street" ... ignore my reply. _________________ *** Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your signature to help me spread! *** |
