Hi all,
Need a little assistance here. I've been trying to get comfortable with abstract, coloured backgrounds, like the kind Seegmiller uses and describes in his recent book. I could use some opinions about what I've got so far. Basically, I've worked in the colours from the figures into the background, and have tried to arrange them in a way that's visually interesting. I've also just started to try and work some texture into it (although that's a HUGE pain with PS5.5...any good plugins people know of to simulate paper texture?).
Is the background working thus far, or are there obvious problems? (the figures aren't entirely done yet)

If you think it's working as it is, that's also valuable. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ -=-=-=-

Not that I know much about backgrounds, but for me it actually works like it is. There are two areas that I would change anyway: The rather sharp edge at the top where the light blue meets the dark blue. The whole background has rather smooth transitions so this one is popping out somehow.
The second is at the lower left. There I would keep the blue darker and only getting lighter to the top. |
