Thx, Swarm. :)
@Novacaptain, hey, thats damn crazy and damn cool :D
@Spooge, like your last one, but it took its time to get whats goin' on in this piece - some unimportant parts get too much attention or the mainshapes have not enough contrast.
Perhaps some less contrast in the backgroundparts ... hmm *overpaint*
Hope you dont mind i try to give you(the master ;), advice ... and i know, its only one of your speedpaintings.
Edit: forgotten my new Speedpainting. ;)
Inspired by some Art of Enayla

Yeah, i know as i said, - Overpaint for one of Mullins Speedpaintings - but hey, why not? You dont have to handle it too strict - its only an overpaint. And Spooge can take it as he want to ... its only my point of view.
And the difference is there - obviously. Well not too big, but i don't think Mullins work need an "extreme" change or something. _________________ Lars Gtze

It's well established that Sijun is a place open to paintovers. It's up to the original artist to decide if they get value from the paintover.
Please move on. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

duracel- thanks for the paintover! The figure ground confusion is a delicate balance, and if you go too far, the forms start to loose readability for some, as it did for you But the goal is to suggest atmosphere and movement, and some seemed to get that from it. but to me, I don't much like that image, and it had nothing to do with the figure ground thing. Other drawing problems. ugh. not drawing again. won't it ever leave me be.
inspired by wassups rainy pic. nice!
looks like raybans on some croakies there. |

Oh mon, not naked people again! Must clear browser cache at work . . . *done*
Man, the risks I take. I truly am a wild and crazy guy.
any hoo,
It's StrongBad!
In all his hand-pixelated glory. They're for penciljack's emoticon list.
spooge--I hear ya. I'm there. I figured a good HDRI would be like painting a masterwork or an Ansel Adams. But since I've got the media technique in paint and such down, I must move on to life drawing. But no naked french men will be showing up on my couch!
I like-ah to say Holy Crap!
P.S. If anyone here does NOT know who Strong Bad is, you simply MUST go to homestarrunner.com.
No really, check him out. I insist. |

I agree with Spooge.. that paintover is not good as well .. it destroyed the feeling of the atmosphere of spooge painting.. _________________ out |

Novacaptain--Yeah, until I started posting here.
And the simplified version. Man, I love hand-pixelating stuff. I'm that wierd guy in the corner that actually likes stipplism . . for all the wrong reasons. Ooooo. Scary stuff.
Ah man, today's Strong Bad Email was frickin' hilarious. You too can have a six-pack in minutes - Nay - SECONDS!
Okay, I'm rambling in an obscenely cheesy fashion. Must go home now. |
