Yeah I agree with Max, the second really have this Renassaince style, I love it. The first is a little bit to messy as what I think but its a really nice texture in that one and the color mix works very well too.

Keep it up
Matthew

real nice post. Lovely colors on the first one. I think I can see a fairy sitting with her back towards the viewer, right? Smile

I like the first one a lot, but i think the red cushion? blanket? on the bottom is too strong.

Oh man, the first one is smashing, utter chaos, yet utter beauty. I really like the colours and brushstrokes, great work. Not digital I guess?, if so, holy crap. Smile

Love both of them, only the first one looks a bit fat to me... the thing needs to fly, you know.
Apart from that, great.

boomstick> yea hehe Smile

goatcheeseblues> the painting was from life and the model was sitting on a red blanket thingy. i agree though, i think it is too strong and amorphous. something clever like a big leaf or twig or something would have been better i think.

deckard> yes not digital. i haven't painted in digital yet, i keep postponing it for some reason. it was oil done with palette knife.

frode> funny Smile
