Im really glad that You all seem to like my drawings. I was sceptical if it would be a good idea to start a whole new thread since I could have posted them as well into some sketching thread. But since I use the sketchbook for personal development it might be of interest to the viewer to find these sketches gathered in chronological order and besides that it provides great motivation to fill up a dedicated thread. And so it shall be.

Ok ... Im obsessed by Outline. But thats ok, I guess.

Wow, I just encounter the medicine man beeing massivly inspired by a Joe Mad sketch ... have to fight that unconsciously quoting thing!

As You can see, my sketchbooks look changed quite a bit since the first page was drawn. Thats a cool thing to discover for myself because the first page was that kind of "pencil doodle" you do all day without thinking about and now it slightly changes into something that lies permanently in the background and to which I add some detail when I have to get my mind clear. If theres a crazy idea in my mind which normally would never see the light of day I just slap it into the sketchbook. Otherwhise the ideas would fade away and perhaps never reappear...

Call me silly but I finally seem to get the point what a sketchbook is all about anyway.

Thanks for all Your cheerfull comments, too!

Page 10:

On page 10 I spent some extra time. It illustrates some kind of legend. You know ... earth serpant ... bound to the underground by three mystical champions ... struk my mind a few days ago.

Oh, and I have to give credit to Aidan Meehan who created the three triangular celtic knots which I took from his celtic design series book.

(one small detail: the type is handcrafted in photoshop with an ellipticalbrush ... bought a book on calligraphy Smile )

@ -HoodZ-

Smooth line on a wacom is just a matter of training. Just relax and do some spirals to warm up and then just shape that bloody lines.

Page 11:

Kind of a spinoff from page 10. Type again hand written (in bigger scale and then pasted into page).

Shocked

You absolutely blow my mind to smitherines. This stuff is unbelieveably good. Mind if I ask how long you've spent on these pages (For example, one with such detail as "Page X".

I can't wait to go ga-ga over your next pages!
