I was in a very medieval mood Wink :

I know, I should post this in the speedpainting-thread, but it isn't a speedpainting - I'm sooo slow; and the speedpainting-thread causes too much traffic.

He,he, now I get what I deserved after calling ODD's horse a pony Mr. Green (brauereipferd = brewery-horse).

@xeNusion: supposing that you are a bavarian, that means you like the pic Wink . Thanks for your thoughts.

@haohmaru: Thank you for liking it Very Happy . Maybe I should work more on it - but that needs a lot of time I don't have (and I want to try some other things).

Cool

i really like it, pretty cool composition.

1. Someting that is painted in 10 minuts doesn't have to be a speedpainting while somting that was created in 1.5 hours can still be a speedpainting.

2. i would added some more detail in the shadows (more value variation) , especially the horse , now its almost one color shape. check out Finers work to see what i mean , he often paint characters with a strong back light http://www.andersfiner.com/

hey no need to call me a lederhosn!

well the horse itself is very massive (abit too much for my taste) like at those mentioned typical "brauereipferd" but dont has any hair on his head which isnt normal (hey of coz if forgot those knights are shaving their horses).
another thing is the location of the cross at the flag. the center of the cross was/is allways placed near the wooden shaft on such long flags.
there some other things like the shape of the helmet and the head itself which arent that optimal ... great moody picture; but there still some things which could be improved

.D Thanks for posting! I appreciate your comments very much.

@oDD: Thanks for your philosophical support Smile . About the lighting: I was sitting and thinking about this "more details or not"-problem - without result. Maybe I'm afraid of putting a lot more work in it only for seeing that it killed the sketchy look. Knowing, what to do in such a moment separates the artist from the amateur. I checked anders website (thanks for the link - you have a good overview about others work) - did you see the "Tower"-image? Well it's extreme, but the lighting resembles to the lighting in my pic. I'm a little helpless Sad .

@xeNusion: Smile Wollte Dich nicht beleidigen, sorry. "Location: krautzone" hat mich wohl auf die falsche Fhrte gefhrt Wink .

Yes there are things to be improved. And I didn't make enough enquiries. The cross - you are right - I thought it looks better so and nobody would notice it Embarassed . The helmet ... (see "enqiries"). Next time I start in the WIP-section to avoid these faults.

Thanks for making time for it.
