Hi here. I like your flying leaf dragon pic. Esspecially the way you did the leafs on the tree. I'm not sure about the dragon though. It has lots of potential and what I mean about that is that I would refine the anatomy a little more. Right now it has theese little toothpick sticks for wing bones. If I could suggest looking at some anatomy books of bats or something, iy could help the pic. Another thing I would change That migh help the whole piece is perhaps some motion bloor on those wings. Anyways hope it helps a little. The colors are great.
good job otherwise. _________________ I want to breed! |

geez i should of fixed that. i was looking right at the thin bone part of the wings and ignore.. bleh i'll fix that.. thats like very minor fixing.. well they are suppose to look like leaf wings not bat wings
but anyways i'll fix those parts i was thinking about blurring the wings making it look like they're in motion but it didnt look good so i probably wont do that .so i made him gliding
thanx alot for commenting _________________ Fantasy Art Gifts

I know you most likely have a very specific idea in your mind of how your leaf dragons look (I tend to have that with my creations..), but have you considered using double-leaf wings, like a dragonfly has? I think the trouble with that creature of yours is that it has such a very different color from the rest of the plants.. Perhaps that combined with it being smack in the middle of the picture makes it stick out a little too much. I see you do have a few leaves with a smiliar color to the dragon, but perhaps you would consider adding some hints of the same shade to the more reddish leaves, too?
Anyway, I still like your pictures. When I see that dragon, I can easily imagine it resting on a hand, the tail wound lightly around the arm and the head perhaps resting on a finger. It feels coo but smooth to the touch.. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ More art |

great evolutionary concept for sure. i love twisting nature to yor own ends. and the mood is fantastic too. i agree with the comments about adding some more dragon anatomy detail, and i think that it could also benefit from the inclusion of another colour perhaps. at the moment it is a little monochromatic. i notice this because i am always doing the same in my pieces. it's tough to bring in more colours without looking overly contrived. |
