Trying to get used to my tablet again ( it was closested for awhile ). This took about 45 minutes to do and I know I did alot of stuff wrong ( the ear is too small and I can't manage to get the eye to look wet.. ), but please, let me know what you think I could/should do to improve upon it.
thanks.

Hey
Yeah he looks good, if you want to give it more depth you can make the cast shadow more dark and the higlight brighter.
If you want the eye to look more wet you can add a bright grey in the lower eye under the iris.
Keep it up

Hey Matthew,
Yeah, I definetly agree on the lack of contrast, I just didn't notice it until today when I went and looked at my own post. I'll play around with some more differing values and see if I can do any better.
As for the eyeball, I tried to do the reflection with a bright gray before and it just didn't turn out that well. I couldn't get it to look right but I guess I just need to practice with it more.
Thanks for the comments.

LOVE the head LOL. Very slick!! Especialy the coloring and expression! However, the filter used on the background has to go. BAN ALL FILTERS!! (ok I feel better now) _________________

Heh, actually, that isn't a filter
I was screwing around with some brushes I got from the eatpoo.com forums, just had it set to a rather large diameter and did a couple strokes of each color. I don't like it much anyways, but it was better than white
Thanks for the comments tho, appreciated and at least I'm on the right track. I'll try and revisit this one soon and make the contrast alot more prominent.

Now I feel bad. haha! Well, thanks for showing me the potential that the painting had insider, that kicks ass
It's alot more clean than mine was. If you feel like screwing around with it more, here's the actual line work ( which I like more than I like my painting.. )
Anyways, nice pic

Looking good Matthew! No worries, everyone can do a repaint if they want. It actually inspires me to want to do one too!
I'll post another repaint as soon as I have the time.
