It looks flat to me (except other defects of course). No distance. How do you make it? The atmosphere. Sky? Please help. Overpaints and any response are welcome. Thanks.

To simulate depth, typically objects in the distance are hazy and the foreground is sharp and detailed. In this case, the green rocks in the forground are pretty fuzzy and fogged, and the towers in the didtance are sharp and clear. I suppose this is an effort to emphasize the subject, but it plays tricks with one's sense of depth of field. Maybe you could remove the forground fog, but make the colors less saturated. |

That castle is hot but im not too kean with those rocks in the foreground and those clouds. I think it would look beter if u got rid of the rocks all together nd just had the castle and sky.
and about the clouds--a good technique is to make the sky a solid color (prefably in my case a gradient) And brush in, very abstract and lightly, the outline of ur clouds. Then go in w/ the doge and highligt the eges of the clouds. And make sure u get the edges very bumpy and not as straight as u got em.
and if u want to keep those rocks i suggest makin em less saturated, cuase they do look very realistic (i thought they were a photo when i saw em. r they?) _________________ -Chase |

Thanks a lot CwStone and Tater. Yes, rocks at the foreground are obviously out of foto and look not in place. Well, I'm likely going to redo everything. Thank you again |
