Right, a few days ago I found the homepage of an artist, it was a simple layout, images on a grungy brown background. The images were very strong, grungy backgrounds with beautiful figures.
The images were mostly monotone, one I can remember was an immensley beautiful girl sitting with wings outstretched behind her, viewed head on from slightly above. The other was a girl leaning over a roof, with a short skirt. The view was from behind her, it was called "break time at..."
I can't remember the rest.
I loved the work when I saw it, but the bookmark has gone, please, if anyone thinks they know who I mean, post the name or a link. |

No, I'm sure it was a guy's site, and the images were darker than that, the enviroments were more rough. The majority of images were in grayscale monotone. The gallery had thumbnails spread out in no particular order.
Thanks for trying though...anyone else got any ideas? The page title was "the art of..." (not much help, common title) |

I dont suppose it's something as obvious as Rusted Faith ?
Or maybe some Brom stuff ? (Although I dont remember him having a website)
Not Neil Gaiman ?
I know one that would fit really well, a photograph who has done a lot of really weird image manipulations, mostly in sepia tones. Looks fabulous, but I cant remember the name for the life of me, Dave something ? AAAAAArrrrh
Maybe something similar to John Bolton ? Or Bill Sienkiewicz ? Naaah, it's no use, my memory is crap those days
Sumaleth : thank you so much for that one ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ =/Sancte Isidore Ora Pro Nobis/= |

bloody hell I love when I find what I am looking for ! Thank you google :
http://www.mckean-art.co.uk

Unfortunately, the website itself doesn't seem to match your description... ah well, maybe you'll enjoy anyway ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ =/Sancte Isidore Ora Pro Nobis/= |

I've tried the names you suggested, but to no avail... Though I love the Dave McKean stuff, thank you for that.
The site had a load of odd phrases on it, my memory of the site is hazy as you'll no doubt have guessed, but it was talking about society, probably decay of society from what I remeber of the images.
Anyone, feel free to throw names in the air.
An image from close up behind a girl's thighs, very short skirt, leaning over a roof looking away from you, can't see the face at all. Closeup of beautifully rendered thighs. - Trigger any memories? (that's memories, not fantasies) |

Heya,
Could it be Robert Chang's (Lunatique's) website:
http://www.enchanted.prohosting.com
He has alot of nice sketches featuring girls and angels and some nice monochrome work.
I tried looking through for the particular piece you mentioned, but I'm just back from the pub and I'm a bit sloshed, so maybe you'll have more luck. |

Do you remember ANYTHING else? Digital work? Oils? Anything at all? I hate it when things get stuck in my head. Thanks a fuckin' lot. ![Razz](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) |

Sorry like, but I guarentee it's annoying me more...It was all digital, I was in a hurry at the time so i only saw a couple of images, the girl with wings - they were more bat-like than bird-like. I really don't remember anything else that I havn't already posted.
Thanks all for the links, the site had a brown/red background, quite heavily textured. With thumbnails spread across it, the work was almost entirely monochrome black / white. It was mostly figures amongst dark, rundown grungy enviroments. |

LOL, the easiest way to identify almost anything of Enayla's art is to say 'Vampires'. That is like 80% of everything she paints. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |

Hahah, make that fae, and you'll look like you might know what you're talking about, Cheney. I've painted altogether three vampires over the past five years.
As for the topic question, hm, I seem to recognise that. I'll look through my links and see if I can find something. _________________ furiae.com |

This may seem very simple, but have you checked through "History" in your browser? |

Okay, I admit it, I'm a big fraudster.
