Hi there! I really should hang out here more often..The quality on the artwork that's been posted here lately has been amazing!
I've been pretty busy with work + privatelife, but that dont mean that i've been lazy..It's just that i have to wait to release any artwork until the customer releases their game, book, magazine etc..
Also been busy assembling my own Boba Fett costume, he he..Pics soon!

Here's a couple of illustrations that i did some time ago
for the Stwarwars roleplaying book called the ultimate alien anthology.

Some other random work things that i dont think i have posted before:

Hope you'll like them:)

It is so good to see new work from you. It's been ages! These are great, really expressive, great texture, and as always I love your coloring style and how well it works with your linework. Can't wait to see that costume

Hoodz:
Yeah, nice to be back and still see some familliar faces around:)Thanks.
Isric: Thanks, Man! Costume is coming along real slow..Takes time, but i do have a couple of progress pics so i will post them later. I'm about 50% done i think..I feel a bit stuck with the cartoony colouring. It feels like i have'nt been painting for decades:/
Ceenda:Thanks:)
Max:Thanks! You mean the one with the long neck? It should have been a bit longer:/
Matthew: Nope. I hate to do linework in Photoshop. It feels so stiff somehow, so i still use my trusty Pen(or pencil). Thanks:)
UkiTakuMuki:Never seen the MIB aniomation series. Thanks.

I probably add a couple of more pics in a while. Gotta search through my harddrive..

Thanks again for your kind words:)

Really great stuff, Micke. I've always loved your Boba Fett paintings. And that costume is coming along gorgeously. Did you do the paint on that yourself?!

Speechless. Linework and colouring go together like spagetti and meatballs.

Two questions though:

1. Do you work with CMYK colours? Or do you stick wiht RGB for your lineart work?

2. I noticed your line work is smooth as a baby's bottom. I've noticed when I work with pen and ink, the lines loose their smoothness when scanned. Or even on paper, they don't look as sharp, or as crisp as your lines. How do you do?

I love your Zabraks, they are very awesome, I can tell what most of the star wars characters are, but some of them I'm not so sure about, I can remember Plo Koon, a Twi'Lek jedi girl (I cannot remember her name) several Zabrak, and what I think is a Bothan.

Anyways, fantastic work.

Hey Micke! Your art's looking more polished than ever, if that's even possible. Gotta dig that line work, and the coloring just keeps getting more stylish. Hope ya hang around for a bit! Smile

gLitterbug: Thanks, man:) The pilot guy was made for a gamecompany as a idea for a character, but i guess the idea did'nt fall through.

Matthew:Not all of it..The undersuit was made by a girl that i know.
Most of the armor and hardparts came in raw vacuformed plastic parts or molded resin. I've trimmed, cut primed and painted eveything myself.
The helmet seen in the photos is sold and replaced by a new better one.
It's being assembled and paintedat the moment.

geztar: Thanks:)

UkiTakuMuki: Thanks!

Bishop_Six:Thanks!. Yes i painted everything myself. I got down 95%of all the scratches right, he heee. I'm sucha geek!

Gecko: Hey there! Yep too long ago. Have'nt buildt everything myself. Mostly glueing, trimming and painting. The raw hard parts were made by
a couple of other talented artisians.

tilokani: Interesting question:
1. Both really..Sometimes i just keep the linework in RGBb for the hell of it. Well, most of the time there is. It makes it look a little more "homemade" if you know what i mean, wich i think looks nice.
2. I try to be a sclean as i can on paper first, but most of all these characters were drawn pretty big (1 character-1 A4 paper), so when seen in a smaller size they appear more clean. Playing around with brightness, contrasts helps alot too:)

Sightunseen: Thanks:)

Anthony: Will try, Anthony..Love this place:) Thanks!

Solarc: Thanks, man

Great work, Micke. Like everyone else, I've really missed your posts too.

It really does seem like everyone is flocking back to Sijun... where it all began. *Sniff*, I'm getting misty again.
