firefreak, oDD, Oblagon, fluO: Thanks!

Mon: Your latest space paintings remind me of the cool Azimov covers by Chris Foss. Nice stuff!

Rorsh: Thanks, the pic was done using a custom chalk brush I made in Photoshop. Basically, it's just a black square captured as a brush. I set the opacity to variable and in the texture section I just selected the default textures that come with Photoshop 7 in the standard library. Well worth playing around with! Congrats on the Lionhead job too. Smile

I was doing today's DSG, but, disturbingly, the man I was drawing turned into my father. Seriously, this guy looks exactly like my dad, only with a somewhat effeminate wig on his head, which my dad wouldn't ordinarily wear.

Oh, well. At least he doesn't look like me.

P.S. - I started a site with my sketches and junk on it (www.bitingrat.com)

P.P.S. - HPX, I like your latest post, especially the woman with half her face showing.

This ist sort of a half-speedpainting. The drawing took some time (not enough time though - its crappy) but the color went fast. Extra detail by texture overlay. I painted this one after looking at a frazetta artbook...

And of course Im only posting it to tell all you people how absolutely inspirational your art is!

...

bahh ... this pose is so awkward. I promise spending more time on drawing!

Heavily referenced. My first attempt with Wacom and smudge tool.

Some of your work is simply amazing. If I could conjure up the worlds and images that you guys do with such skill I would never leave my room Razz

digitaldecoy: The lighting on the guy is great. Good textures too.

Playing around with some more custom Photoshop 7 brushes.
