too bad he is back in 3D. And from the text it indicates it's not an adventure game any more T_T

brum..... rrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

ps. look at the conceptarts, what have they done to his chick, she was so strong-&-sexy in the oryginal and now......

another egzample of two games that share only same title and main character and everything else is diferent. They are doing it to all adventure classics today.

they killed larry. You bastards !!!!

OK - I understand your arguments, but don't be so down! You gotta give it a whirl first, and if it really sucks after than, then it really sucks!

Lucasarts does produce good stuff, so I expect they'll want to live up to an expectation based on previous experience.

So youz guys fire it up.

Be cool

i'm not feeling down Gort Very Happy It's just sad cause i thought full throtle 2 gonna be an adventure game and all they did is they used a title to get some fanbase for just another race game.

If i will have oporiunity i will give it a try.

I R HAPPY! Wink

Full throttle was the best adventure game ever, they should not have gone 3d... i dunno though grim fandango looked so great 3d, and this looks like crap years later... I hope these screenshots I see are very early. Sorry, Gort,... I lost a lot of faith in Lucasarts as of late, just a bunch of crappy star wars games. Seriously have you played some of them?? Razz

I was really excited about this but now I feel kind of apprehensive...

I actually played Jedi Knight II, which was fun...ok...typical for a FPS, but it was gorgeous. I cannot vouch for their console games, as I've never played any of them.

I recall FT being super fun; it was the first video game I ever really played and my wife's introduction to "where the hell is my husband? Playing a game..."

Who knows...maybe my expectations are too high for the next release. Hopefully they will release a demo, and we can try it out. If it sucks, well then hey - it sucks! I'll get on your bus!

Smile

I was playing King's Quest 6 a few weeks ago, and realized how much I miss adventure games. I was sad. I eventually got over it, though. Then I saw this and I got sad again.

lol, Tinusch. Smile

Have you played The Longest Journey? It was a great adventure game. Siberia was great, too.

Full Throttle had me 'hooked' instantly. I don't think I stopped playing it until I finished it. Ben rules.

When I remember all the great adventure titles Lucasarts did and see what they are doing now I can't help but think they're going the wrong way.

I mean, they killed the Indiana Jones saga when it went 3D to a Lara Croft style game and the star wars games are suffering too. I mean, I really miss a TIE Fighter or X-Wing nowadays with the new spaceships. But they're just licensing their brands and I feel that this FT2 is going to be a fight game with some cutscenes. Also, what are they going to do with Sam'n'Max 2? Sigh...

I've been missing the 2d adventure games too. The 3d adventures just haven't been able to warm me up so far. In 2d it is possible to create believable and beautiful fairytale - or cartoon worlds. 3d realization just ruins the magic in my opinion. It's too cold and artificial, no matter is it lopoly or pre-rendered stuff.

The budgets of the old 2d games were actually really small compered to modern 3d-games. I hope some game publishers would notice this and start giving money for 2d adventure game development. I'd love to play a new episode of kyrandia, leisure suit larry or even police quest made properly. Cool

/me thinks back. ... now that was fantastic art.

its all drawn by mouse right(were there tablets then?) every scene... every frame... every custom anim..

/me bows to oldschool masters

PS: anyone remember those mole-riders? doug chiang designed the bikes that go superfast and the moles used bumps on the road to 'feel' for their riding.. man they looked so cool :>

if they base it on the monkey island 4 3d engine I'll cry entire rivers... they completely molested and ass-raped that series with the final installment
