Looks good to me. I really like the dot on the right that bounces around a bit.
I personnally dont like the flashing, but thats probably just me. At least its not blinding me with rainbow colors It does catch your eye and its not too bad. |

I like the bouncing dot as well... i personally don't like the color of the text. it could be so much more effective if it subtly blended into the background. _________________ AIM: EviLToYLeT |

thanks for the feedbacks, guys.
i just noticed something. in the 88*31 smaller banner (a resize of the bigger banner), the text jiggles up and down a bit.
why is this? it's not a new banner. its the same banner sized down..
im guessing its image ready's way to compensate for lost resolution.
what can i do to make it not jiggle when i resize it? |

Hey, looks good to me. The text may be a personal matter though...I do know if you used a color closer to the rest of the image (blue/aqua), it would compress easier (less color variations in GIF = smaller file/easier to convert)
However, then the text might blend in too much with the background...Then again, if it lacked the shinies, and were a slightly darker shade of blue/aqua than the rest of the image (ie, fade the background a bit and use slightly more stark text), it might work better. I dunno, I guess you'd just have to mess around and see what works
As for the text bouncing around, I do have a suggestion that might work:
Try flattening all of the layers in each frame BEFORE you resize, then resizing. I've found the way photoshop resizes things with layers tends to be a bit wonky, and flattening things before you resize is your best bet. This information is also helpful in stuff where you have to break the image apart (like say, for a pseudo imagemap) - do the breaking apart AFTER you resize the image, or else you'll get weird, white-ish edges.
I tend to do all animation outside of imageready, mainly because I find imageready to do things I don't want it to, just like say, a WYSIWYG HTML editor.
<--anal retentive, insisting on doing things manually
This can be a good thing sometimes though
Hope this helps! _________________ "Do we call you Big Bird or Oscar the Grouch? How bout Boscar the Brouch? No, no, that's not right..."

Along the lines of what Libby rust was saying--Is that outer glow a layer effect? If so, rasterize the layer before you export that as an animation frame. Small text can sometimes seem to move around if there is a change in value along the edges, like that background glow you have there. _________________ http://www.spiraleye.250x.com/art1/art1.htm |

spiraleye: hey, thanks for that tip. it helped a little. it still bounces, but less.
libbyrust: flattening all layers on the same frame will be bad for me, because i use the same layers fom several frames. thanks though. |
