I did this for some time and finally managed to get the hair done. Many thanks to ejwize for sharing his brushes. They really helped me out.

theres something you don't see everyday, black and white using computers rather than photos etc. i really like the high contrast you have in it, and also that upper hand and her left eye are especially realistic.

for criticism i would say that the hair could maybe have done with a little more contrast. no matter what colour hair she has, giving it a shiney feel might have fit in with the theme better. but still no complaints, hope to see more stuff like this.

p.s. oo also just thought, looking at the light source, she might have more shadows on her face.... that is all .

Actually i used a b/w photo reference for this one. Im interested in painting with light, starting with black shape and kinda bringing the shapes out. All my photoshop works have been in bw, and im just getting hold of colors.
Thanks all so for your crits, i agree about the hair, i didnt quite capture them, but im happy it turned out this well.
