all of these pictures he obviously copied from comics and other references but hey its where most of us started Smile i actually started drawing spawn and well my style now looks like that lol. well done but might i suggest getting some ink and nibs and drawing spawn that way.

you have almost mastered copying drawings so maybe its time to explore your own imagination and see what happens. i like what i see though.

Yes I copied most of them, except for the plane. I often look aroud the net and when I find something I like I draw it. The Spawn drawings are about 2 years old and since I kinda adopted that style. But still I can't draw something that complecated by my self...I have to look at an original picture. Sad I'm getting better tho...

Another person here who started with drawing comics. I like the way that you got all the lines of the pictures, but I would reccomend moving away from copying though. IT limits you and doesn't allow you to reach anything more. If you've been around these boards often, you'll find that people will tell you to start working from life to improve. At the stage you're at, and the stage that I went through, I would suggest drawing from photoreferences in magazines, etc. Try to get good there. This will also help when you finally start drawing alot from real life.

BUt just keep growing, looks like you're well on your way there.

ReKo: I strated drawing X-men by Jim Lee, but my style now isn't really anything like his, but I still like his work. I have my own style now, which I enjoy. Work with what you like.

I don't want to be mean here but you should really credit the original artists for each drawing, otherwise it's not fair to them. They're nice copies, but they are copies after all.

Good work! Keep it up and someday we'll be seeing your names in the comics that we are buying. Great detail! Keep going! I think you're heading in the right direction and only more time and dedication is going to get you there.

Doh, that must have been one of the pictures at the bottom that was a red x.

Hey Berkut,

Try here:

http://www.netfirms.com/

I grew up copying Kevin O Neil's "Nemesis" (for all the 2000 AD headz...) and various bits by Bill Sienkiewicz. Fantastic method of understanding how they achieve their line style.

Above all, you cannot beat life drawing!

I too, learned to drawn from comics. Later, I turned to drawing from photos and life drawings. I think comics are a wonderful tool to learn to draw and I would sooner cut my balls off than chastise anyone for using comics.

Great job!!! The only real crit I can give is cut down on the size of the pics. I'm a huge Spawn fan myself, and you have really captured Capullo's Spawn wonderfully!!
