The rules of Draw Club:

. Each theme will last exactly one week.
. We're looking for an effort, not a 10 minute sketch.
. You are not limited to the digital media.
. Do not "reserve" your place, post an image only when you have something to post.
. Feedback is encouraged.
. Keep away from interpretations of an adult nature.
. Post as many times as you like.
. Have fun.

Draw Club #6: Artistic Apples

Let's keep it simple to get the ball rolling. This weeks challenge is to draw a good old, common, everyday APPLE in the most artistic manner you can muster.

Sumaleth - thank you for creating this, its gonna be so cool. :)

Ok I wanted to steal the first position so heres my apple, its made with color pencils and an eraser to get the highlight.
Color pencils comes in really handy when making fruit pictures.

I wrote down some thoughts about how to vote in the Random Musings Thread I created earlier, maybe we can have weekly voting for the topic in draw club? what you think Sumaleth?

Matthew, Sumaleth - you guys are the best! Thanks for making this happen, it's just the thing I've been missing in my life Wink

though I must say that drawing apples is probably the toughest subject next to flowers =) It's been done a million times by (notably) dutch people over the years at a level of perfection that makes me want to tear my hair off.

But we'll beat them, right?? Very Happy

well, maybe next time...

Mon - Thank you. :) hehe, me too, I wanted some themed stuff and this draw club is just super. :)

I got excited so I had to do one more. This one is totally experimental, it was made with color pencils and then I added water and these color-pencils wasnt made for water but it worked, and then I smudged a bit and then added highlights with white acrylic.

Matthew
Keep the draw club going. :)

very nice idea suma!
I love small tasks like this. You should keep draw club on these type of ideas I think.
nice ones mon, are they painted from stillife or from pictures or head ?

here's just a simple one. I just plced a couple of apples on the table in front of me. Made it more or less with drawing different masks only..fUn

Joachim: Oh Jesus! Sexy apples you got there.
Socar MYLES: That's honestly one of the best thing I've ever witnessed. I have no idea what I love about it, but whatever it is, it's brilliant. I love your work.

Much thanks. I was really wrestling with it last night. Glad to know someone likes it. I might be able to toss up a bigger version this evening.

Cool stuff everybody. Good to see another Draw Club. Sijun's been at full-stride as of late.
