Been a while since I painted anything. This was real quick. Not too happy with it, but practice makes perfect I guess.

Maybe I should note that I am interesting about design but I have no expert knowledge and skills, and my English is poor...Embarassed

Your works are so perfect like myth that I wonder hardly how can you finish these beautiful arts?

I wanna know the progress of you making it, if you like...thx.

Hey Yeah I agree too, Ceenda, Pat and of course I want to add you Duracel. :D Also, Capt.Fred and Rhomb. :D Maan I could go on forever cause everyone has cool stuff here.

Ceenda - I like the latest Reaper he looks awesome.

btw, my earlier mountain-picture on page 81 is on a logo contribution to Conceptart.org, dunno if it is that good for them to use it thou, but I thought I wanted to try anyway... :)

Of course I had to have a picture to my answer, this one is a Robot I made in the beginning of this week before I made a big Autumn cleaning of my apartment, I also changed the Curtains in the whole apartment with the help from my Mother...hehe
Note : the robot has no arms.....

Happy Easter all my Speed-Painting pals. :)

This one is inspired by a movie I saw yesterday with Al Pacino, I only saw the intro and they stood on a road and it was two trees there and the main shadow were under the trees. :)

Happy Easter everyone, and I also forgot to add Drunken Monkey to the hard Rock list earlier, keep speeding everyone.

Thank you Ceenda for the earlier comment on my previous landscape picture.

My first speed painting.
Been lurking for about 6 months and since I took the time to register recently I guess I owe you guys a speed painting Smile I havent even turned on Painter in maybe 3 months.

Started with no idea just ink pen on white until something came up. I finished the face and realised I needed a background.

Painter 5 ( waiting for 8 to get my upgrade ) 30-40 min. actual size.

When I attended art school we had life drawing classes. The teacher would have us do quick sketches and the model would change poses every 30 seconds, then 1 minute, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, etc.. I think forcing myself to do these will really help losen up my hand. Since I spend most of the day with a mouse in a death grip and not the good kind of mouse either Smile

trying to make more realistic face than the previous one, it's always hard without reference. If someone can suggst any feautre of face i should change in order to make my pics less cartoonish i'm listening.

anyway i'm working on a little story here is the sketch of main character

merlyns - nice colors

I made an update on my site today and added this picture, I got inspired by a dragon movie for this picture, I remember there was a grave -yard and an orange sky, Orange is my favourite color, I added some birds for the motion of it. :)

I saw it too these days(with the picture, which was your reference) - so i thing i can help here a bit better.

Well, most thing i think doesnt work is the water, especially, while BobRoss described the "how to do" very well - especially how the reflections work.
The non-sunsight-snow of the hills could be a bit more bluish and darker, i think, the sky a bit brighter(for cloudless sky i most time took colors of blueish-tone of the upper border(non-black)).

And well, Waterfalls are really difficult, so i think you got it quit good by yourself(Bob didnt paint a waterfall on this piece - did he ever?).

Well, overall, i think the mountain looks quite good, all other thinks should be improved. Wink

@Matthew, especially the robot is a good improvment imho! Go on, go on. Smile

MATTHEW, your last landscape reminded me of the end of "Unforgiven" (one of my favourite movies ever). Cool stuff!

zlu, those are really fantastic!
The beautiful colors in the first one, the "hand"- and "hair"-colors and the orange borders in the econd one, just great.

Here is a Matrix-inspired speedy - but im not really satisfied with this one.

Socar MYLES - Thank you, I havent seen that movie, maybe something I should do. :) I would like to see more of your stuff in here. :)

Drunken Monkey - She looks really cool, I liked how you used the logos in a deck of cards for her ear-rings. :)

Edit: I added a picture, kind of fast...hehe, a manga speedy
