Where do you guys go for figure studies? Books? The web? Mags? Cousin Vinnie?

Hello again. :)

I�m not sure if you mean real-life studies or setting up your own figures. There are many different sites on the net for this and also Sumaleth advice Thread above is very helpful with different tutorials and stuff.
The best one is Fineart, there is a section there with Andrew Loomis stuff called Online Anatomy section. Check out "Figure Drawing for all it�s worth" with Andrew Loomis in that section.
Also if you are more into Manga there is Polykarbon, enter the Tutorials section there.

There is no real good substitute, in life studies, for a real person. I am not discrediting the above mentioned resources, because they are valid and do have merit, but if you live where you can get access to a model, then by all means do so. It's common for a group of artists to pitch in together to cover the cost of the model (typically an hourly rate). Check out any universities - they're a good starting place.
