My favourite SC2 character. It looks like her but I slightly changed the clothing.
C&C would be appreciated.

Hello
You shouldnt be too hard on yourself about with getting no replies, the forums are very tough to enter. Sometimes you wont get any answers and sometimes you get answers but then it contains mostly flaming. If you keep posting you will start to know some people and you will answer their threads and they will answer yours.
About the picture, I like it, thou her left bicep looks a little weird.
Keep it up and keep drawing and painting.

Don't quit painting because of this, remember, sijun is almost like a meat market. When I made my first post here I got Zero or maybe 3 replies, it sucked. Now we're so many that people no longer spend as much time giving good crits to everyone.
I'm no expert on anatomy, I could never do a pose like this, it would be horrible, so what I'm gonna crit is the color, her clothes are shaded red, nothing else, Look at something red in your room, is it only red or can you se purple, orange, pink, or blue in it? I think you should add many colors instead of having it all red like that, and a good way to get nice lighting on a character is to place it in some kind of space, a simple gradient could be enough, dump the white background if you can, same thing for the white arm pads and swords, try adding more colors.
As for the face I've heard that you can add some green around the mouth, some blue around the eyes and make the cheeks and nose a bit more red, instead of having that beige skin color darkened with black, black is BAD. also the reflection of the hair wich now is white could be changed to purple or marine blue, that would rock, and make it look more natural. What I like about this painting is her rope belt and almost masculine muscles even though she looks very feminine! (she's gotta be fit to be a fighter)
Welp, hope u'll get some good crits or compliments, that's what keeps you going, and it's hard to tell people to crit ones stuff because then they wouldn't do it from their heart. |

The pic is a bit too small, but I like the character anyway.
Well, you really dont need to care much about replies. I've seen many wonderful works got few replys. And I think here it is often, if not always, the most sensational ones get most replies. ![Razz](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) _________________ http://ebrian.epilogue.net |

Ok, let me start of by saying nice picture. But to the C&C:
About her left biceps- Thing is that the biceps overlap the triceps (actually it's the brachialis that overlaps it but to the human eye it's seen as the biceps). With your shading it looks as if the triceps overlap the biceps.
Like the shading on the collar bone, it gives it a very real feel.
Nice texture on the sword's handle, but (it could be me, but...) the foreshortening on the sword that is closer isn't coming through.
p.s. this c&c only applies if you want to be really picky
p.p.s that whole thing about the biceps and the brachialis is not intended to be a "know-it-all" comment (excuse my language). It's just there because I'm studying the human anatomy at the moment Sorry if I'm nitpicking
