I haven't been here in about 6 months, and even then I didn't really post very much, so... yeah, here I am, effectively new.
Well... this took a while...
This was done in open canvas, start to finish, the actual file is nearly 30 Megs right now, it has well over 200 layers including paste and duplicate layers.
It's only version one because I hope to improve it, hopefully with some feedback from you people *looks at people*
So yeah, feedback, yes, it would be nice if you could give me some of that... please? *Makes puppy eyes*
Rawk. \m/

watz d "pointy" stuffz in d BG? r they tall grazz or spearz? i find it slightly 2 sharp. mayb blur it a bit. 2 give d pic even more field of depth.
perzonally find d chain 2 thin. not "heavy duty" enuff. look az if itz gonna break any moment if it clazh wif d creaturez' weaponz.
d back lite u have given ur main character abit 2 brite 4 d lower torso area.
d overall feel of thiz piece of work iz great. it feelz like d main character iz in deep shit wif hiz enemiez swarmin in all around him. yet we know dat he will not perizh in thiz battle.
great uze of color. red bringz out d chaotic mood
btw watz thiz piece of work 4? perzonal pleasure or some job?

well... i like it. alot.
however... you want feedback.... i can pick out things i dont like...
ok... i assume those are all blades of grass at the front and back, some blades of grass in the bottom right corner appear to be rounded at the tips, like really fat stubby grass or something... just dont look right.
that robot on the right side there... his arm looks way too short in comparison with his leg. (but maybe you wanted this)... im just sayin.
next... your light sources are all over the place... everything is always affected by every light... the chain pisses me off... it looks GORGEOUS, but the lighting is wrong....
id like to think that the light is coming from somewhere in the middle left back of the picture for the main character in the center, but then behind his left arm is lit up... and the robots on the front, appear to be lit up by a lightsource in the upper front right corner... the chain-dude in the center WOULD be affected by it.
theres definately sum lighting issues to be worked out, but otherwise nice job ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ "Man! I just noticed that I write a lot of fragment sandwiches!" |

Ok, I agree that the lighting source is way out there, but I kinda like the whole 'dainty' chain thing. Makes my mind think supernatural power...like taking down a tank with a rapier... but then again, I'm weird like that. Great mood, poor lighting. |

Thanks for the replies, err, yeah...
Po', thanks for the comment.
Ghozt, ok the background spikes are meant to be spears, the foreground one's are meant to be grass... perzonal pleasure or some job? lol the former definitely, I'm no actual artiest, I'm just a maths student, lol. This is the most ambitious thing Ive done art wise in my life by a significant margin.
MCnasto, thanks for the feedbackage... gah... you're taking me really seriously. Lighting, ok, well you're right, it is all over the place, that can be put down to lack of competence of the creator, I guess that's something I have to work on in the future *groan* yeah.
BOb, thanks for the comment, but I have no idea of who you speak.
Atrophy, thanks again, I appreciate the feedback.
Does anyone else have anything to feedback about it?
Thanks again. _________________ ReanimatedArt |

dont u dare blur this like ghost says (no offense ghost) the sharpness is what makes this so cool.
About the spears lookin like grass: Maybe u can add some axe heads and spikes comin out of the tops of some of the spears--if u do that, then i think that them being spears will be totally buyable.
the only other thing i can think of to say is that i personnally dont really like the toes stepin on the guy. They just kinda look awkward. Maybe u can stick some shoes on 'im? If u dont wanna then dont bother, they look fine as they are. _________________ -Chase |

Thanks Stone, adding axe heads and stuffs to the background things is a good idea, I'll do that... when I got round to re-flumping this. _________________ ReanimatedArt |

Hey Zomby, heres an idea if you want to include it in your pic. It's all up to you tho man, this is just an idea, and if you like it, you're welcome to use it, after all, its your pic!
I just had an idea that cause there is so many men around your dude in the pic, how about having a couple guys getting fully wasted just behind the hero? For example, to the left side and the right side of the guy with the chain in the background where the guys are either getting thrown back or spinning in the air or something!?
Theres already lots of red in the pic, so I aint gonna mention blood....

200 layers is just crazy. You'll save a lot of time if you use fewer than that. |
